Winter Tires
DRIVE WITH CONFIDENCE THIS WINTER
The loss of traction on ice or snow-covered roads may become critical for safety as the temperature drops below 7°C. At Jim Pattison Subaru South, we can make sure you get the correct set of winter tires with the best service from the team that knows your vehicle the best.
3-Peaked Mountain/snowflake Tires
For city driving, 3-peaked mountain/snowflake tires are considered the best type of snow tire. These tires have a specific tread pattern and rubber compound designed to provide excellent traction on snow and ice, reducing the risk of collisions. The "3-peaked mountain/snowflake" symbol is a certification mark that indicates that the tire has undergone rigorous testing and has met strict standards for snow traction.
Matching Winter Tires
For optimal safety and performance, all four tires should be a matching set with the same tread depth.
Tire Air Pressure
Cold temperatures can cause tire pressure to drop. Check your tire pressure at least monthly, especially when temperatures fall below 7°C. Underinflated tires reduce road contact, increasing the risk of skidding and loss of control.
